Final score: SL Colliers 78 - 33 NL Falcons

 

It was the first home game of the season for the Collier Division 1 Men at the Alistair McCoist Complex East Kilbride facing the North Lanarkshire Falcons.

 

The Colliers dominated the game from the tip off scoring 10 unanswered points producing a convincing first quarter finishing 17-7.

 

The Falcons struggled unable to score more than 9 points per quarter as the Colliers capitalised on Falcon turnovers running the floor and finding the open man.

 

It was a terrific team performance holding the Falcons to 33 points with excellent team defence and having every Collier player score with 4 players reaching double figures. Team captain Scott Russell led with 25 points, followed by Graham Hunter having 15, Jay Runga added 12 and Luis Zambrano had 11.

 

The Colliers now look forward in preparation for the next game, which is away against Oatlands at Notre Dame Secondary in Glasgow on the 12^th of November.
