Final score: Colliers 33 - Glasgow City 65

 

24 November saw the Colliers senior woman meet Glasgow City for the first time. This was our first game in nearly a month and this may have contributed to a slow start where we struggled offensively. This was reflected in a very low scoring first half with a score of 16-26 to Glasgow.

 

Unfortunately Glasgow's lead increased in the 3rd and 4th quarters, with the

Colliers tiring. We continued to struggle with movement offensively and with containing the opposition's stronger players and this is reflected in a disappointing score line.

 

There were some positives to take from the game, including the performance of 17 year old Kara Gough who stepped up and played the majority of this very physical game!

 

There are plenty of things to work on for the return leg in March against a very beatable team.
