Colliers Summer Skill Sessions

Colliers Summer Skill Sessions will take place once again at Uddingston Sports Centre. With 5 weeks of summer basketball to help you improve your fitness and fundamentals, you’ll be more than ready to start pre-season basketball in August. Colliers Club Development Officer Ross Hutton will lead most of the sessions and had this to say about the programme.

The 14 sessions will be spread across five weeks and focus on different areas of the game ranging from scoring, dribbling, using and setting screens, defence, fitness and roles on the court. There will also be a focus on understanding the game which will take into account what to do in certain situations, time left on the clock, fouls to give etc.

Each session is £4 and can be paid on the day or by BACS. If you want to book multiple sessions that is also an option. The programme is open to boys and girls between 10 and 17 yrs.

The full programme will be outlined shortly. We are also looking for people to volunteer as assistant coaches and would love to hear from you.

Week 1 - July 11th, 13th, 15th

Week 2 - July 20th, 21st

Week 3 - July 25th, 27th, 29th,

Throughout the programme we will also be running The Challenge 3000

The Challenge 3000 is a fund raising event which involves each player dribbling the ball 1000 times, passing the ball 1000 times and scoring 1000 shots. This will take place on the 10th of August. Players from the Colliers will get a sponsor form at the beginning of the programme and are able to raise money for the club. Players from other clubs are welcome to raise money for their club or charity if they wish to do so.
