SL Colliers vs Oatlands

SLBA Div 1 Men

March 6th, 2014

Final score: SL Colliers 80 - Oatlands 60

From the jump ball this proved to be a physical match up between the Colliers and the Glasgow based Oatlands team. The Colliers started off hot with three consecutive three pointers from Graham Hunter followed with excellent team defence and huge highflying dunk from Michael Lynn. Colliers finished the 1st quarter up 24-12.

The second quarter was again, controlled by the Colliers with Captain Scott Russell getting to the basket with ease and fast breaking lay-ups from Jay Runga finishing at the half up 47-27.

Colliers came out strong in the third quarter however were slowed down due to foul trouble which saw much of the bench playing a supporting role which led to good shooting from Stephen Hamilton. Oatlands refused to give up and played hard until the final whistle, which was countered with aggressive rebounding and finishing from Michael Lynn. The game was closed out with Collier bench who did a great job.
