Under 14 Boys Pre-Season Tournament
GAME 1
The Colliers Under 14 Boys travelled to their second pre-season tournament in 2 weeks with a massive 15-man squad buoyant on the confidence gained at the last outing.
Their first game was against a Clyde Cavaliers, the Colliers started the game well passing the ball and creating plenty of scoring opportunities, winning most of the rebounds and playing great defense.

GAME 2
The second game was against a very good and well established St Mirren, the Colliers struggled to get on the front foot during the game, with St Mirren passing the ball and shooting well our rebounding ability counted for little due to the high shooting percentage of their opposition.
In the second half the Colliers started well playing a higher tempo scoring 2 baskets, with the Colliers attacking play St Mirren called on their experience to find the gaps left at the back on fast breaks.

GAME 3
The third game was against a familiar face in Ayr Storm having played against them at other levels we knew they would be tough opposition, attacking from the start, the Colliers pulled out an early lead finishing the half leading 8-4.
In the second half the Colliers rotated their squad losing their height advantage but feeling confident that the squad were capable of extending their lead by cutting out defensive error.
Ayr rallied pulling the game back to a 1-point gap but the Colliers dug deep and pulled out for a convincing win.

GAME 4
The fourth game saw the Colliers feeling confident having faced Fever 2 weeks earlier in a one sided game, the confidence turned to points quickly as the Colliers looked unstoppable with a height and pace advantage.
The squad was changed twice in the first half giving everyone court time. At the half the Colliers lead by 22-0.
In the second half was an opportunity for the less experienced players to get good game time, passing and rebounding well the Colliers extended their lead with everyone getting into the game.

GAME 5
The fifth game started with great urgency keeping a low scoring game close. With the half ending the Rocks scored to take the lead 4-5.
In the second half the Rocks played better defense leading to more scoring opportunities, the Colliers continued to play well in defense but fell short in the final few minutes.
FINAL SCORE: SL Colliers 8 Glasgow Rocks 15
GAME 6
The Colliers final game of the day against a very good Glasgow City team, couldn’t have asked for a better start pulling out an early 8-0 lead however City pulled back due to some defensive lapses and at half time the Colliers trailed 8-14.
In the second half both teams struggled to score the with the tiredness of a long day starting to show.
