Under 14 Girls

For the majority of the U14 Colliers girls, they were back on the court within 16 hours of finishing their last game in the National League, but all were up bright and early to make it to the Lagoon in Paisley for six games.

Coach Hutton decided to rest some of the players who had played the day before and give the younger players a run as much as possible in all six games. The girls worked on their communication on defence and ball movement on offence making sure they took something away from the games that will help them when it comes to playing against tougher opposition.

The Colliers girls won all six games by a big margin, Coach Ross Hutton commented: “It wasn’t about how much we won by or even if we won at all as I wanted the girls to work on moving the ball so I limited their dribbles to one which meant they had to pass and move as well as talk on defence.”

“Our ability to play as a team against any team has to be of a high standard consistently and I think for the most part we achieved that today.”
